VISITATION GUIDELINES:

We are pleased to have you visit your pet while he/she is hospitalized.  We recognize that Tender Loving Care (TLC) is essential to our patients.  It is also important that our patients have time for needed rest and medical care from the nursing staff and doctors.  We appreciate your understanding in following the visitation guidelines listed below as you will help us to provide the best possible care for your pet. 

Visiting hours are between Noon and 9 p.m. daily

• Visits should be no more than 30 minutes twice daily unless special arrangements have been made with the Specialist

• You may telephone us for an update on your pet, however, we request that you do NOT telephone between 8am–9am & 4pm–5pm. During these times, our Technicians are doing "rounds" to update the in-coming shift about their patients.

• After 8 PM, calls are picked up by our answering machine.   If you wish to speak to   someone between 8 p.m. and 11 p.m., you may by-pass the message by pressing "0" at any time.  A Technician will take your call.

• Visits are not recommended on the day of your pet’s surgery.  Please plan to visit the following day.

• Patient confidentiality is very important.  Please confine your visits to your pet only.

• Special procedures may need to be performed on your pet while you are visiting.  At these times, we may ask you to wait in Reception for a short time.

COMMUNICATIONS GUIDELINES:

• Please designate ONE member of your family as the contact person for your pet.   The attending Specialist or their Technician will update this person daily on your pet’s progress.

• If communication in English is difficult for your family, please contact a friend or family member who is available to translate.
